Hi Dave, We have 1 AS/400 (yes, AS/400) at V4R5 OS, 9406-620. MAPICS XAR6 with license for 100 users, about 80 on at any time. About 30 printers, (IBM InfoPrint 21s, HP LaserJet 2100s, HP LaserJet 4000, Intermec 3400s, and a Printronix 5212). 6 dumb terminals on shop floor. 75 PCs. 12 handheld RF devices for scanning. The network stuff I don't know about, but it is a bunch of "stuff". I handle everything to do with the AS/400 (hardware, software, programming, etc.) and printers and we have 1 PC/Network person. He also does the phone and UPS stuff. Nick Nick Radich Sr. Programmer/Analyst EPC Molding, Inc. I have one AS/400 programmer, one VB apps developer (mostly to support engineering), one help desk person, one network administrator, one server support person, and me (manager and AS/400 programmer). I'm curious as to the size and organization of other MAPICS shops and how many IT folks you have on staff and in what roles. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. *** Please note *** The information contained in this email message and any attached files is confidential information.
