Maybe just installing into the plugin directory would have worked if my
colleagues machines were the same version of Eclipse / RDi / JRE but as
they are a version behind perhaps that scuppered it.

I'll try the dropin method on Monday and see what happens...

I would expect that to work for a machine that already has your
plugin working. But, I would not expect that to work for a machine that
has never seen your plugin before.
