How, as a vendor, do you "remaining alert for anything that does come up"? Let some customer upgrade and inform you your software needs a patch? Or do you load up your software on the release while it is in beta by participating in IBM's Early Programs?
The vendors I've dealt with, even if it was as simple as changing the hard coding to stop checking for 5761... and start checking for 5770... , it resulted in my having to wait many months for that fix.
