You don't know ... :-)
You are at firmware EH350_071 and you want to go to EH350_103.
<snip>
Firmware updates within the EH350 Release Level can be installed
concurrently, unless otherwise noted
</snip>
The full name for EH350_103 is 01EH350_103_038. This means as long as you
are at EH350_038 or above, which you are since you are running EH350_071,
you can upgrade to it concurrently.
All of this is explained at
http://www-933.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/firmware/readme?fixid=01EH350_103_038
Now, just to allow you to save face...
There's "Installed Level", Activated Level, Accepted Level, Unactivated
Deferred Level, and Platform IPL Level.
Unactivated Deferred Level: Is like loading on a cume but telling it to
apply during your next IPL.
Activated Level: This is the level of firmware you are currently running
at. Sort of like the temporarily applying ptf's to the B side.
Accepted Level: Sort of like permanently applying ptf's to the 'A' side.
Platform IPL Level: There is a small possibility that a fix may be
concurrent but some parts of it do not take effect until the next IPL.
Sort of like special instructions for immediately applied ptf's. If a fix
is like this, it will be explained in it's cover letter.
Facts, but stated with some humor and my best intentions to you.
