Question. If I have a 7310-CR3 can I go to 7.7.2 with a Power6? There's
a new firmware update for 7.7.1 (EH350_103) . If I can go to 7.7.2 I
would rather upgrade instead of simply applying the server firmware (would
rather be totally current vs. partially).

Thanks,
Tommy Holden

Upon rereading ...
V7R7.1.0
becomes
V7R7.3.5
right? If so, then I am sorry for the earlier confusion on my part.
However, when I go to fix central and look at HMC levels I only see
V7R7.2.0
V7R7.1.0
V7R3.5.0
V7R3.4.0
V7R3.3.0
V7R3.2.0
V7R3.1.0

I am not sure I can even go to V7R7.2.0 with a 7310-CR2. Well, the only
note I saw was:
<snip>
HMC Model 7310-C03 cannot be upgraded to HMC Version 7.7 If an HMC is used

to manage any POWER7 processor-based server, the HMC must be a model CR3,
or later model, rack-mount HMC or a model C05, or later model, desk-side
HMC.
</snip>
So if I go to power 7 I have to upgrade.
