We put ours in Auto.. when it's done with one tape, it AUTOmatically mounts the next.. need it or not. But, to clarify, we're just using the TAP01 device, we're not using the media library option. That may affect how you want your device set up. I'm pretty sure that as long as the time you want is less than 24 hours ahead you can put it there. If you wait until 5:01PM you should be able to set it to start at 5:00PM the next day. It will then just sit on the console until it is time to start itself up. pedro.reis@valeo. com Sent by: To midrange-l-bounce Midrange Systems Technical s@xxxxxxxxxxxx Discussion <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> cc 11/11/03 12:18 PM Subject Re: system save Please respond to Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@midra nge.com> Rob, I didnÂt explain myself clearly, I donÂt want to run it in batch, i just want to delay the time of execution, call the option from the console , with qsecof, at the end of the day , to be process the 5:00 pm the day after. So, no, you can't schedule it in batch, WRKJOBSCDE, etc. What you can do is what we do, sign on to the system console with a special user profile. This profile does all the actions necessary to bring the system into a restricted state, save, ipl and some post ipl tasks. Putting a DLYJOB in there should be a no brainer. GO SAVE position cursor on option 21, press F1 for help: ... This option runs the following commands: ENDSBS SBS(*ALL) OPTION(*IMMED) SAVSYS SAVLIB LIB(*NONSYS) ACCPTH(*YES) SAVDLO DLO(*ALL) FLR(*ANY) SAV OBJ(('/*') ('/QSYS.LIB' *OMIT) ('/QDLS' *OMIT) UPDHST(*YES) STRSBS SBSD(controlling-subsystem) Rob Berendt -- "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
