If you run your backups in random mode, you *must* provide the media 
label for all the tape commands (eg SAVLIB VOL(TAPE01 TAPE02 TAPE03)). 
VOL(*MOUNTED) will not work in random mode.

If you have not get any tool (like BRMS) to assist you with the 
backups, it is much more easier to use the sequential mode.
