Endre,
You are short of people. You have a position open. Are there other
candidates competing for this position. If not, are any other candidates
available? Is this person the most qualified person that you can come up
with given your budget for the position? Do the qualifications of this
candidate meet the minimum requirements for the position?

Subject: How to (re)train?

Hello:

We just had an offer from a one time collegue of us, to return to work with
us. Since we are,
as almost everyone else is, chronically short on personnel, we listened to
the offer and
are trying to decide what to do, that is, I have been told to come up with
an answer and/or
solution for Friday.

The Background:

We are a small consulting group, doing development, conversions,
etc.etc....
This person worked with us until 6 years ago and she is (was) a really
first rate
System Analyst/Designer, exceptionally good on Customer Support and
training.

She knew almost everything there was to know (at that time) on the
Midrange
family.
Problem: she never worked with the AS series.
She is wiling to train (re-train?).

I would really appreciate your opinon, and what would you do in this
situaton?

Thanks in advance

EndreE
