You could assign your SSD's to a different ASP. ASP is a parameter on
CRTNWSSTG.
I'm not saying that hosting is the only way to go. It's just an option.
Sure, you could have local, and hosted disk. Or host stuff other than
disk. We have partitions with ethernet hosted by both vios lpars, fiber
by just one vios lpar and disk hosted by an lpar of IBM i. And that
includes a mix of guests including IBM i and AIX.
