Be ye warned that separating test/production even to separate lpars or
even separate boxes doesn't totally safeguard you. For example if your
code does a CRTDDMF, bangs out an EDI transaction, posts data to a
customer's web service, shoots them a fax, posts data to a PC server with
QNTC or FTP, etc.; you might end up with undesirable side effects.

Ever get a call from someone browsing a spool file saying their check stub
is wrong when they're matching up the check with the wrong stub (which
follows which when printing)? I have; they promoted her to HR director.
