Duane, if I've understood correctly, in RDi you doing the following:
1). right-click OBJECTS Subsystem
2). from the Context Menu, selecting HOST CONNECTION EMULATOR (HCE)
3). trying double-click-left-mouse-button (DLMB) on (any) text to select it

Is this correct?

As others have already pointed out, DLMB doesn't work on the HCE; (it is an awful emulator, IMHO)

However, at Step 1). (above) you also have the option, LAUNCH 5250 EMULATOR, (this is a link to the ACS emulator which is bundled with RDi as well). This /does/ handle DLMB as you wish.

I have tried a few other emulators:
- iSphere 5250
- Mochasoft
- PCOMM
none of these offer DLMB selection. (In some case you can "draw" a selection rectangle around the desired text by holding down the LMB and dragging the mouse.)

So, I don't think you're missing a setting in HCE. I /do/ think you're missing out on a better (the best?) emulator i.e. ACS. Hope this helps.

Brian.

I'm missing something somewhere (probably-definitely).

I would like the host connection to select the word where the cursor is focused when the mouse is double-left-clicked. Works on other emulators, but in RDi I cannot discover how to "make it so".

Am I saying it well enough to be understood?

Can anybody help me?

I do as much as I can through RDi and this is one thing that bugs me about not being able to get it working. Not the ONLY thing, but the one that I would like to see working now.

Duane
