I though IBM already started using ACS within RDi three years ago.

ACS was even bundled inside the RDI install.

The folder was "SDP96\rdi\acs",
The acsbundle.jar I can see is dated 12/2/2019.

I'll ask the dumb question, why not put the ACS emulator into RDi? It's

java based so as long as ACS runs on the device it ought to run just fine.

Then when the ACS team updates the emulator, all you do is repackage it and

off it goes.

A better option might be to remove the emulator from RDi, and simply have

it call the ACS emulator for the focused system. The requirement there of

course would be to have ACS loaded on the device.

Hi Duane,

Unfortunately, the emulator used in RDi is no longer being serviced, so we

cannot make the request for changes.

What IBM would prefer is that users adopt ACS for any green screen 5250

emulation (or another 3rd party emulator).

The behavior you are looking for is in IBM ACS.

Hope this helps

(And we will continue to improve RDi so you won't NEED to go to a green

screen!)
