This is true, and I would extend it to say there's a mindset that
comes into play for almost any kind of problem-solving. Our thinking
is influenced to an astounding degree by the tools we know. So much
so that some believe we can't even have a thought that we don't know
how to express verbally.

While scripting, especially the kind handled by AutoHotkey, often gets
regarded as a second-class citizen (perhaps somewhere between "real"
programming and, say, utilizing formulas in Excel), I still think of
it as programming. It's just that the language and libraries are a
little unfamiliar. Perhaps even more importantly, the "problem
domain" is unfamiliar.

I myself loved the ability to script
Code/400 using Rexx. But very few people seem to share my attraction
and I think it's a more a matter of unfamiliarity than anything else.
Those of us who haven't done much scripting can't readily see the value.
So I'm trying to show some value :-)

I wonder how many folks don't see the value simply because they are
happy enough with what they have. I mean, some people don't realize
that they want something until they're exposed to it, and I guess some
of these folks could be won over. But some people, even after seeing
what you can do, may not care that you can do it. Or it's not
attractive enough to outweigh the (perceived) cost in terms of the
time and effort to learn it.
