In Canada we had our holiday earlier in the week. But the servers for
Information Center are in the States, so we are not get the usual levelof
response.download
I'm guessing that the local server needs to contact that server to
the help, and it can't reach it. So let's try this again, once the
Information Center is back up.

I tried the fix - I _think_ I got it in right, but I still don't get the
content downloaded - well, I am at home, had a proxy server set, now
went to "Direct" - same problem.
I disabled local - get this site in the unavailable list.

I'm trying the fix and it appears to be working. The local help server
started and help plugins get downloaded. It will take a while though
because there's quite a bit of content.
After that, help is blazing fast, well worth it, in my opinion.
We will try to get this missing plugin problem resolved, but in the
meantime, please follow the instructions in that link.

Yes, the V9 version of the help seems to be down right now. I wasted
delayV9whole bunch of time before realizing it. In Help Content, none of my
8.5,connections work, but if I create a new connection like what was in

Maybe the remote V9 version of the help files aren't 100% ready for
lasttime yet. The addresses for the remote help in the Help Content
preferences aren't all working for me today, when I thought they did
week. I was messing around, and now my local help content is gone andI'm
