Are you sure you are in WDSC when trying to do the help/welcome screen and 
not in CODE?
Start -> Programs -> IBM Rational -> IBM Websphere Development Studio 
Client for iSeries V6.0 - > IBM Websphere Development Studio Client for 
iSeries

This will launch the Rational Product, ask you for a project workspace. 
Once that loads, you'll be in WDSC.  Click Help -> Welcome.
A blue (I think) screen will show with icons (large).  Click on the 
chaulkboard and there's your tutorials.  Good luck.

The link doesn't work, there was no welcome screen.

I need a tutorial. Trying to dive in w/ out planning, is a mistake.

That is why I asked if there is a book, but there is nothing for 6.0. Joe
Pluta has one on 3.0 but I think that is too outdated. It should be on
6.0.
