Doug,
Can you please pass this back to "Fred"

Fred,
I would like to state that not ALL GEAC consultants are like the ones you
have met.
I personally look after the financials for 25+ clients singlehandedly!
It is not a situation that I enjoy, but I know that my clients are happy
with the service provided by myself. I have no outstanding issues at any
clients.
I can name half a dozen others like myself who have similar attitudes.
We just implemented GST in Australia and I had all clients LIVE on July 1st.
This project had a fixed deadline, 25+ sites and no fall back option. I
could not have done this without the support of my colleagues.
I have also used a number of systems and it is my first time on this side of
the desk. I agree that System 21 like many many others has old code and old
manuals - but the functionality is there.
Hopefully the Australian branch is not unique.
Re-locate down under and we will show you real support and hospitality.

Regards

I was asked to post this anonymous post.

Michael,
In your note you state GEAC is like any other organization - trying to make
money for it's stakeholders. You are correct, but unfortunately other
organizations combine this objective with another - customer satisfaction.

Please do not consider this a personal criticism, I do not know you, and
certainly, none is intended.

I for one have had enough of sitting through JBA presentations only to find
what's presented and what's eventually delivered are very different. Then
we have the source code dispute, then GEAC dictate who can and can't work on
the source code. The code is old, the manuals are poor, need I go on?

This is my own personal view. I rate my satisfaction with GEAC as low, and
the continued restructurings give me real concern for the future.

"Fred"
