Let me assure you that I don't have the intention to program for a living. It's just too much pressure to finish stuff in time. Besides, "advancing" was not a gal of mine, but using an existing, great technology.

It is never going to bring a single new user to the platform

Until today, I brought three new users to the platform by that. That's not much and they're not even typical users (because they're working in/with IT). And it doesn't sell a single license to IBM, also. (See my ranting about high prices a few days ago, which I don't want to repeat.)

I AM saying that efforts to make them do things they were never intended to do when there are other better ways is a waste of energy.

There are a few points which are better not raised when talking about hobbies: Cost, space, time (both of which eventually equals to cost) and the sense(lessness) of doing something. :-)

I perfectly understand you have a firm grip on the business side of stuff and I'm perfectly okay with that attitude.
