A-F'ing-men Bob Cozzi Cozzi Consulting www.rpgiv.com -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of rob@xxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, August 20, 2003 8:52 AM To: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Record name the same as the file name I know that, with DDS, you always make the record format name different than the file name. I know that, with SQL, it defaults to making the record format name the same as the file name. I further know there are tricks to renaming the record format name. (These often involve naming the file what you want the record format name to be and then renaming the file after the fact.) I know that you can use a file level keyword to rename the record format name. However, why should we have to go through these tricks and shouldn't the compiler just be modified to get over it?
