Well you can throw your own error with the message APIs but it isn't the
same as CL's MONMSG.

You have a point.  But then again, RPG isn't C, and I didn't really expect
RPG to use errno.  I'll have to tinker a bit more with MONITOR to see how to
throw my own exceptions in a more CL-ish way.  Because I support customers
back on V4 releases, I can't use MONITOR in production code yet, but I have
some test bed code I can play with...
