I do not see a chance to code an indicator for READ or CHAIN operations in free format.... I'm almost sure that no tool could convert some programs i've seen (and maybe written :-) using indicators to this free format code with BIFs.... I'd be more than surprised when this would be taken without comment and there are so much tears about GOTO leaving....
