Hibernation is also a nice thing. Here a "do backup stuff and hibernate" as the last thing to do when checkcing out at night could be reasonable?

Also - "idle for an hour" -> hibernate.

We might focus a bit on power consumption as electricity is rather heavily taxed here in Scandinavia. Is that an issue for you in the US?
