I do the same. In situations where two real separate distribution circuits are absent (and two UPS), one server PSU direct to the grid and one PSU to the UPS.The local electrician can mess with the UPS and still the server will be up. And you can swap/reseat/reset the UPS when you want...Not super "academic" solution, albeit super practical and stood the test of time in many scenarios...and I remedied the situation by plugging one>> PSU directly into the wall.
It was quicker, easier, and more effective than screaming at APC about it.
