Hi Gad

After checking out more, I do believe that ACS' data transfer to IBM i action can do this - you can execute the various plugins in the acsbundle.jar file from a command line on IBM i, you would need to create a DTTX file in the IFS, I'm thinking, I did find a presentation by Craig Pelkie that has code for a command, if I read it right, for doing data transfers of all 3 types in ACS.

Good to find BOSaNova has it, too.

Cheers
Vern

Many thanks to all responders

I did suspect that no native IBM Excel-import method is to be found

Luckily, our emulation package (BOSaNova) comes with a built-in file
transfer utility
that supports Excel (import & export) and can be invoked on the user's PC
via STRPCCMD

Not as elegant as I wanted but feasible.

If you have ACS ?installed? in the IFS there may be the opportunity to use
the batch upload process.

I?ve not tried running batch upload from the IFS, but it seems it should
be possible.

Hello sages

I need to adapt a process that imports (CPYFRMIMPF) a tab delimited file
So that it imports an Excel file.

Is there an equivalent CPYFRMEXLF ? (-:
Or perhaps a method to programmatically convert excel into a Tab
delimited
