The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

Folks:
Gmane.org should *NOT* send any mail to you. It's a READ ONLY resource.
Messages posted to the gmane.org news server will be sent to
midrange.com's mail server with your email address and processed as usual.
I got email from the GMane auto-authoriser. I think Ken has a very
tight email server for spam abatement reasons, and needed to add the
Gmane auto-authorise email sender to the white list.
That is correct.
Note that Gmane also does a real-time connect during the NNTP posting
to verify that the email address is valid, and this comes from a
different IP address than the actual authorizication check email that
is sent later.
If this initial check fails, the NNTP posting is rejected. (I found
this out because I initially typo'ed my postfix configuration change.)
So if anyone else has a very tightly locked system like me, the entire
IP address range for Gmane is 80.91.229.0 to 80.91.229.31
(80.91.229.0/27).
Ken
