For SFTP (not FTPS) you will have to run the sftp command out of QSH.

You can build the sftp command string and execute from a CL program.
(Refer to Scott's excellent document for further details)

Can't use FTP Input or Output files but can redirect QSH output log to a
text file.

Kind regards

Just to make sure, is it FTP over SSL (FTPS) or SSH FTP (SFTP).

Sometimes the terms are used interchangably.

For FTPS, that should be fairly easy as the IBM i FTP client has an SSL
option. This may require importing a CA or 2 or 3, though.

If it's SFTP I think Scott Klement wrote something for this or his FTP API
will handle it.

One of our 3rd party vendors switched their FTP site to SFTP, HTTPS, etc.

I can connect via HTTPS.
However, the FTP scripts I have to download from that site our no longer
functional.

1) What should the syntax be for the FTP command for SFTP?

2) Does anything need to change in the FTP input file?

Thank You
