Very similar as when I was in the casino biz in the late '90s. We had dual
RS/6000s reading slot activity and accounting. Both machines ran periodic
slot activity reports had to agree on the money, and that was sent to the
casino accounting software running on AS/400.

real time data collection. That data was then loaded to their S/38 database
on a regular schedule. I think it was every 15 minutes. And immediate
reports sent if a slot was paying odd too much or too little.
