Everyone does get a few licenses of 5733-QU2 for free if they have
QU1 and Software Maintenance (SWMA). Its 2 for a P05, and 6 for a P10,
etc.

But not on a new box, Pete. And so now you use it and like it and the next
time you install a new machine, you have to pay extra. I REALLY hate the
"entitled to current users" crap.

Also, I've yet to be thrilled with a dashboard because to my way of thinking
a competent programmer ought to be able to do that stuff in their sleep.
This is the web equivalent of printed reports. Yes, Query/400 is a very
important tool. No, it's not nearly as important as the ERP system that
feeds it. Now maybe QU2 does a lot more, but I'll only believe it when I
see it.

And my judgment will depend on a lot of things, including how much memory it
takes. And how well it performs. And whether I can do the same thing with
an Open Source dashboard product.

Personally, I would rather people get EGL than web query. EGL means you're
writing new applications that get data INTO the machine, which is far more
important than YADDT (yet another data display tool), especially if it
requires the SPDMORMNY command for the advanced features.
