From the above, the device is &5, and that occupies positions 41 to 50. The second 'M' in the ten-byte name for &5 is in position 8, so the first 40 characters [taken by &1 to &4] plus 8 more makes 48; i.e. the request to make the comparison of 'M' to the expected position should be:
ADDRPYLE CMPDTA(M 48)
