We lost our single FSP on a 570 this past weekend. It wasn't pretty.

The new FSP has the latest firmware level. Our HMC is at 5.1.2. I have
been told many times that the Firmware and the HMC code need to be
compatible. I opened a pmr with IBM yesterday they told me I need to be
up to 5.21. They are not recommending the loading of 6.1.

I have had a system get the firmware upgraded through the system about a
year ago. The HMC was not upgraded and it caused all kinds of problems
with the HMC.

Yeah, and what really irks me is that even with redundant FSPs you still

have to upgrade both FSPs at the same time. Thus, you still have the
downtime.
