Don, I was kicking this around with our CFO who is my boss and he writes a TON of queries for folks. He said as best he can remember he has never asked me to restore anything from more than two weeks and that even then, "all the stuff that I need has a date in the record and I can have my query handle it"... I don't know... Yep, that (400GB) is UNREAL... I can't wait to see the speed of this thing because that, coupled with a MUCH faster processor, could TOTALLY change by nightly backup strategy ! Even with that there are times we wished we had a longer rotation. By the way, 400 gigabytes on one cartridge? Wow. We could probably use one tape to backup all of our systems for three nights.
