We do 14 days, with a monthly (replaced every year) and a yearly (permanently stored). -----Original Message----- From: Chuck Lewis [mailto:clewis@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, August 22, 2003 2:23 PM To: midrange-l Subject: Tape Rotation Schedule ? Hi Folks, I know the "historic" and auditor approved standard for daily tape backup rotation has been 21 days. We just got the 3581-H23 in and it can go 400GB compressed on a single cartridge. This compares to the 7GB on the 9427 8mm drive we currently have. The cartridges also go for around $111.00 so I am being asked to ascertain we need 21 days, and would 14 be OK, etc. What is everyone else doing ? Thanks !
