WOW - that is a LONG retention Chris. We tried that SAVCHGOBJ route where I
used to work (a BPCS shop). We would do the SAVLIB on the first day of the
week and then the SAVCHGOBJ the other days. By day THREE we were basically
saving everything we would have with the SAVLIB ! We couldn't BELIVE that
many objects were getting "touched" on a daily basis. So we scrapped that
and went with SAVLIB. Made the restore process easier. Of course we had a
3590 tape drive that SCREAMED.

We do keep monthly and yearly backups permanently.

What tape drive are you folks using ?

Thanks,

Chuck
