Hi Folks,

 

Anyone use "iSeries System Inventory Assistant" on the IBM eServer iSeries
Support site ?

I ran it last week and it actually connects to your system and does an
analysis. Then you get a page saying "iSeries System Inventory Assistant" .
Well I have yet to hear or see anything back from this endeavor. Anyone have
any idea what the heck is supposed to happen ? We are on a 620 running V4R5
so I was surprised it even worked. But it did (even created a file on the
AS/400 !). We have an iSeries 810 due in this week to replace the 620 but I
thought it would be nice to get V5R1 or V5R2 in before dropping
maintenance/software support on the 620 so once the 810 is up and running
and in production I could have a "play system".

Any light anyone could shed on this would be greatly appreciated !
