I have seen many postings from you on the Midrange-L list, but this is definitely one of the strangest that I have seen from you. Why do you care about people lurking? I certainly don't. Eventually they will start participating or they'll just go away, and if they go away you'll never even know they were ever here! I lurk here every day. I just started participating in the midrange.com lists last fall. I guess you would have to classify me as a "newbie" (at least to the lists), but I have been working on IBM midrange systems for over 20 years, and on the AS/400 since its inception. I started out in a 1-man shop on a S/34 in 1981. I could really have used a group like this back then! Ususally, by the time that I compose a reply to someone's question 10 others have already responded, so I don't bother sending mine unless I have something to offer that none of the other postings contained. Was this supposed to be a private message? I don't see any prior messages in this thread... Steve Landess Austin, Texas (512) 423-0935
