Their part number is 71775K81. It's made by WinCo. Couldn't find a model number on it but it was listed by McMaster-Carr as "AUTO. STANDBY GENERATOR-8KW". I'm pretty sure it came with the auto-switch but am not 100% sure about that. We paid around $4,300 in Nov. 1997. I really like this setup because don't have to mess with diesel/gasoline. We're a small shop and bought a natural gas generator (for around $5,000) that handles our /400 (model 720), phone system, 3 NT servers, several hubs, routers, modems, and a couple of monitors and a PC. Works great in conjunction with small battery UPS's. It kicks in 10 seconds or so after the power goes out, so the battery UPS's keep it up for the initial 10 seconds (until the generator starts).
