Actually you need to have this host server running to submit remote commands from one AS400 to another. It really has nothing to do with Client Access. As the pc world calls it, it is a DAEMON for the 400. Give it a try and see if it works. The other is to submit command via the DDM/DRDA server at port 443. There is also the command part of FTP. Any of these options available to you? What port does the PC DAEMON listen at? Do you have that port listening on your 400? Spit tin in the wind at this point. Christopher K. The 4690's running Fles OS don't (can't) run Client Access. I know RUNRMTCMD can run to an RS/600 or other flavors of Unix, and to PC's running the remote command daemon, and other 400's running the REXEC TCP server, but we need to get these 4690's to run the commands. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
