Well the OBDC server and the DDM server both fall under the DDM server. So
you can ENDTCPSVR *DDM to block access to OBDC, that is if they are
connection via TCP/IP. If I am wrong, it would then fall under host servers
and probably the data base server. Any how it is the DRDA server listening
at port 446. I really do believe it is controlled by the DDM TCP/IP server.

Subject: How to temporarly end and stop ODBC connections ?

I have client that now has a number of PC's running an automated data
collection
process and updating the 400 via ODBC. We need to block access for an a
short
period of time once each day. The old way they used was via an APPC
conenction
and they would just end the job and vary off the devices.

I'm thinking
1. Disable the usrprf being used but that won't running processes.
2. Ending QSERVER sbs since ODBC is the only thing currently using it.
3. ??

Any other ideas?

Thanks
