Joe: Try this command: WRKNWSD, if you get anything on the next screen, you have either a AS/400 (IPCS) Firewall or a NT IPCS Server. Mine has *FIREWALL in the text field, though I do not know if that is how it defaults to. Hope this helps, Fred Skinner -----Original Message----- From: Joe Pluta [mailto:joepluta@plutabrothers.com] Sent: Wednesday, February 28, 2001 1:43 PM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: RE: Grumble... People, I'm getting a bad feeling about this. I notice all kinds of stuff about firewalls in the IBM support stuff - how can I tell if I have a firewall on my AS/400? I don't see any reference in my QSTRUP that seems specific to a firewall, but I've never used one so have no clue. This is a loaner box, so I suppose it's possible the previous owner enabled the firewall on it. How do I tell? Joe P.S. If it IS a firewall, I sincerely regret having wasted everyone's time... I'll feel REALLY REALLY idiotic... <sigh> +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
