Title: RE: Large screen monitor

Imo, SEU would be much better if there were a greater symbiosis with Rexx or CL if you could create "editor" commands that are simply run from the SEU command line... Or better yet, would someone please port Xedit to the 400!!!

James,

Operations Navigator, for example. <g>  ("There will always be a
green-screen interface for all configuration ... ")

The catch here is that SEU is not equal to a good workstation-based
editor.  Sure you can get the job done.  I used edit code with line
editors, but that doesn't make them equal to the task.

There are *lots* of things that SEU/400 still lacks, but at least some
of them are inherently impossible with a block-mode interface.  And
the SEU exit points do not provide enough functionality to enable
third-party add-ins to do many useful things which would still be
possible with a block-mode interface.  It did not quite make it into a
truly extensible editor.
