Just wanted to thank everyone who responded for their help in connecting two 
machines
using SNA over an IP network.  I kept getting these bind errors, until I put in 
the
TCP/IP config the as400.APPN.SNA.IBM.COM entry.  I can't understand why it just
doesn't use the host name in the HOST table, but then again we are talking 
about SNA.
