Okay,

I need to ask some basic questions to understand what you are doing.
HyperTerminal is a Win product, so first question is are all of these users
using the same version of Win/95(98)(NT) / Hyperterm ? Check the file
sizes, versions under the properties window and about tabs.

Second, are they all the systems the same configuration. COM1,
local modems, Same Modem manufacturer, Init strings, Interupts, ect...

Third, when you say it is all on the IFS, do you mean the version of
HyperTerm, the Configuration file for the HyperTerm sesssion, or the
Application data you are looking to transport ??

Last, how are you starting it ? Shortcut, folder, "run" with
qualified string ?

If this is going to be a long term production job, I would get the
PC out of the picture ASAP and use exiting, or purchased product software
over the ECS communications adapter to send the file directly from the
AS/400 to the Bank.

        JMS...
