Bob,

If the Mainframe has IP installed, look at using the LPD/LPR
products. I will check with out of my customers and see if the MVS side is
a special product or part of IBMs distribution.

    JMS.

The standard FTP process on the M/F only sends DB files, not Spoolfiles.
We are exploring altering our current method of moving spoolfiles from the
mainframe to the AS/400. The current process is on the mainframe they send
the spoolfiles from JES2 through NJE( yes that is NJE and not RJE) as if the
AS/400 is a printer; on the AS/400 I have SNADS setup using the MVS/Bridge
(SNUF device) config. When I receive the spoolfile file on the AS/400 it
looks like a regular AS/400 spoolfile. This specific AS/400 receives about
800,000 pages of print a day from various systems(MainF 400K, other AS/400s
300K, unix systems 100K). A current project will increase pages sent to the
AS/400 from the MF from 400K to 800K a day. Is anyone aware of a command
or process on the Mainframe similar to the SNDTCPSPLF on the AS/400?? I am
considering the change for obvious reasons; sending large spoolfiles via TCP
from !

numbers will hold true from the MainFrame to the AS/400.
