There -used- to be a DLTOBJ command.  You'd specify the object type just as
you do in a WRKOBJ.  It worked by adding a user command that pointed to the
IBM program that =all= of the DLTxxx commands point to.

Unfortunately, it violates security (ie user stuff calling system stuff) at
higher (40+?) security levels.

I think that IBM has a flock of DLTxxx commands mainly because humans are
subject to the 'oops' syndrome:   DLTOBJ   QSYS/MYLIB  *LIB


OOPS!

Having to key the proper command makes you type a few more characters, and,
hopefully, avoid misteaks.
