You can run 5250 emulation and 32 bit ODBC using TCP/IP only. You won't be able to do SNA file transfers or printer emulation. You can, however, use a different connection method to do those things if you need to, or you can stay with FTP for file transfer and LPR/LPD for printer support. If you need to keep some 16 bit apps that use CA ODBC, you must use an SNA connection. The thunking layer uses the 32 bit driver, but EHNODBC3.DLL is still used, and it only suports SNA.
