That is what I am curious about too.  I remember a little bit about the
System/36 instruction set, although I never got to do much with it due
to the lack of an Assember on the System (as well as being cautious
about doing that sort of programming on the Bank's system).

Of course, now that I have my own AS/400 E04 with Leif's compiler, I can
do what I want (within time contraints set by my wife!).

I should get the System/3 book this week; I can let the list know
briefly its contents if you all wish it.
