As the
regional affiliate for MAPICS in Northern Ohio we have come to realize that this
is a very contentious issue for many XA
users. While the method
that MAPICS uses to close MO's is correct from a manufacturing
perspective, it is somewhat inefficient and time consuming. We
have worked with our clients and developed an approach that automates the
close MO's and PO's while maintaining the rules associated with good
manufacturing practice. Anyone wishing to discuss this issue can call or email,
