<John>

I just took a look at what you have at
http://www.planetjavainc.com/wow60/run?id=355

http://www.planetjavainc.com/wow60/run?id=357
<http://www.planetjavainc.com/wow60/run?id=357>

If that took around an hour, I'm impressed.

Can you say some more on how you did it? ie what tools you used, perhaps
even the source if it's not confidential.

Regards,
John

The OO application prototypes were developed with:

1) Windows2000 server running Tomcat connected to a V5R1 iSeries
supplying the data.
2) I spent about an hour and ½ to 2 hours on develop both
applications.
3) The applications are all Java and utilize the Toolbox for Java for
data access
4) The applications were built on top of an OO framework that my
company develops and externalizes in a product called WOW. I respect the
non-commercial basis of this list so I refrain from discussing it here. If
you are interest, the base version of WOW is free just send an email to
info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>  .
5) Some of the frameworks used were based on patterns I described in
my previous post.
6) Both applications were built with 0 lines of code written or
generated. The applications run based on metadata which is configured and
executed dynamically. All of the requirements in the applications are
reoccurring software problems that have been solved via OO frameworks.
7) As I?ve been trying to describe, the benefit with OO technology is
that you solve a problem once and then can reuse the solution from business
problem to business application.

Thanks,  Paul Holm
