Chris,
Well from what I can gather from this list, Java is still a mystery to
most. I am currently working in the Visual Age environment to build
simple Java classes. While I am still attempting to differentiate
between the construction of an applet and an application, I am learning
to use the tools and contructs for developing code quickly. I figure it
will take some time getting used to the change from procedural to object
oriented programming, however I am enrolling in a Java class offered by
a local community college in an effort to speed up the process. From an
AS/400 standpoint, I think IBM has now made it possible to call RPG
programs from a Java application. They are working on the reverse.
As for the San Fran project, I haven't heard much about it. I do
remember reading about it some time ago, but it escapes me. Maybe you
can give us an update.
