medium to heavy (very heavy if I wasn't already so busy)

could you please forward the address to me? I'd like to subscribe.

IBM thinks it's going to be the silver bullet to bring new business to
the 400. It may do that, but not for a while. Until the language
matures, it's going to be (for the most part) just for little things.

IBM wants to cash in on the e-biz, and I've never seen them as light on
thier feet as they have been trying to get the 400 "net worthy", but I
don't think they're moving fast enough, if java's going to be thier
saviour.

But I must say, IBM's enthusiasm is encouraging. I've never seen them
publicly spend as much money on anything, especially something they
won't see an ROI for years.

Only what I read in the trade rags. I was at the news400 java decisions
conference in chicago last week, and they talked about it a lot. I
really think, in theory, it's the smartest thing IBM's done in a long
time. As long as they don't price it out of most ISV's range, it could
lure a lot of them to the 400 and other ibm platforms. If the objects
are as well defined and feature rich as they promise, it makes perfect
sense.

rick
