I am not sure if this will work in Citrix, but Client Access Express offers a configuration option that will pull the 5250 device name from the Windows user name. Setting this on the Citrix system Client Access installation should resolve your problem, although each user will have to set the data area when they log in. That said, if you rely on SSA, and they don't support it, are you sure you you want to do it? 5250 emulation is essentially telnet and performs just fine over a remote connection, even a dial-up one. I am sure if you ask the folks on the list can suggest a ton of ideas for secure remote access. Good luck. >>> pheeren@thetford.nl 01/27/03 01:48AM >>> Hello, We are on BPCS 6.1.01 Client Server. We are planning to run BPCS in a Citrix environment. SSA do not support BPCS Running with Citrix or Terminal Services. Does anyone of you have experience with BPCS in a Citrix environment. In a 'normal' client installation our BPCS clients get an unique IP-address. This corresponds with a job unique Workstation data area on the server. This data area holds the job routings, like job description, printer etc. In a Citrix Environment all the jobs get one and the same IP-address. Problem area's to cover; - Workstation setting (JobQ, printer etc.) - Local Client settings in ODO.CFG - Local User container - Default filters in inquiry and maintenance programs, like for example Order Entry All kind of information concerning this environment is welcome.
